Eric discovered his passion for Search and Rescue in high school. After joining the Navy that passion was renewed in 1999 when he was stationed in Everett, WA where he was heavily involved with Snohomish County Search and Rescue for three years. He obtained NREMT certification in 2000 and put it to use in 2002 when he was stationed at NAS Whidbey Island where he was trained as a Navy Search and Rescue Medical Technician; learning and teaching emergency medicine, rescue and survival. His recreational interests include rock climbing, mountain biking, trail running, backpacking, canoeing and snow shoeing.
